BABYSITTING:  We offer low cost, quality babysitting for members to use during daytime functions sponsored by the Club.

BOOK TALK:  Book Talk is a great way to meet new people.  We meet once a month, at a member’s home, for a relaxing evening filled with great company, dessert, drinks and, of course, interesting discussion about a pre-selected book.

BUNKO: This is a great way to show your luck with the dice and make new friends.

COME & PLAY: This is a wonderful way for your children to meet other children who are new to the area.  Come and Play organizes several monthly outings for pre-school aged children (up to age 5) and their parents that include our popular annual Halloween hayride, Santa brunch and Family Day.

FUNDRAISING: Our Fundraising committee plans several fundraising events for a selected charity each year.  Fundraising events include a fabulous fall fundraiser and our famous springtime "Lucky Name" fundraising luncheon and chance auction.

LADIES ACTIVITIES:  We organize fun and casual monthly activities such as a craft night, going out to a movie, or just getting out with friends. Some of the upcoming events are bowling, cooking and spa night.

HELPING HANDS:  This charitable group works to give back to our community by organizing “hands on” events that support local charitable organizations.   Helping Hands is a wonderful way to help a good cause while meeting new people.

LADIES LUNCHEON:  We organize several monthly luncheons at different area restaurants.  Enjoy an afternoon dining with new and interesting people.

MEN’S EVENTS: Our Men’s Activities team plans fun activities and outings for the male members of our Club.  These Friday night events vary from pool tournaments, to pub-crawls and poker games.  This is a great way for the men in the Club to meet new people in a fun, casual and relaxing atmosphere.

MOMS & TOTS/PLAYGROUPS: The Club organizes weekly playgroups for children of members in the towns of Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver and Shrewsbury.  This popular Club offering is a great way for moms and their children to meet other moms and similarly aged children in the area.   Please contact us at rflsnewcomers@yahoo.com if you and your child are interested in being part of a playgroup.

NEWCOMERS’ NETWORK: This service assists our members by providing helpful referrals to local businesses.  We have a file of professionals that have been recommended by other members.  We have everything from appliance repair to wallpaper hanging.  SIP N' CHAT: Our Sip N’ Chat committee plans fun and casual monthly get togethers at members’ homes for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  This is a great way for women in our Club to meet new people and make new friends in a casual and relaxing atmosphere.

TENNIS: All levels of tennis players are invited to come out and play with our Newcomers’ tennis club.  We offer several opportunities to play tennis in the evening.  Come out and meet new people while enjoying the game of tennis.

WALK AND TALK: This group will be hold events in local parks twice a month (weather permitting).  This provides an opportunity to get out of the house, meet new people and get some exercise as well.  This will be a great event for new moms too!

WEEKEND ACTIVITIES: This new category is a combination of our old Special Events and Couples Activities groups.  We wanted to create an activity that allows couples and singles the opportunity to meet new people without the commitment and expense of a large party.  I hope that everyone will have a chance to participate in the fun activities throughout the year.
